GLOBAL TREE BANK works at grass root, with marginalized and underprivileged communities to achieve its vision. Our work aims towards, environment protection, climate change mitigation and livelihoods development through tree plantation activities. The main activities are;

Awareness Campaigns

The awareness is created on environment, climate change and benefits of Trees and planting trees through wallwritings, pamphlets distribution, poster, banners, leaflets booklets, audio and videos shows and screening films.

Trainings

The trainings are conducted for women and youth,farmers, and leaders of community based organization The trainings are conducted on the subjects; basic knowledge in Nursery rising, planting methods of different species, demarcation, soil and moisture conservation, live fencing and maintenance (Watering and weeding) and harvesting methods. The trainings are offered in Plantation of energy and commercial plants, agro-forestry and horticulture. The processing and preservation of processed plant produce trainings are conducted to farmers, youth and women

Nursery

The nursery has been set up at Nagalapuram and supplying fodder, shade, fruit, plants in the villagers of Nagalapuram and Sathyavedu Mandals of Andhra Pradesh and some places in neighboring state(Tamil Nadu). Nearly one lakh plants are targeted in a year for free distribution and planting. The plants are supplied to households, schools, colleges, churches, temples and Government and private offices.

Seedling/Seeds supply

The seedlings are supplied to backyard plantation. The shade, fruit, fuel, leaf vegetable plants are provided to backyard plantation. The seeds/seedlings are provided to farmers for horticulture cultivation and farm forestry. The quality seeds and plants are distributed for the target groups.

Plantation/Plant distribution

The plantation is undertaken in community waste lands,

school,colleges,temple,church,Government and private office premises and temple premises road sides, irrigation tanks, and tank bunds. The women, youth and students are involved in plantation works. The plants are supplied to those who are interested for planting for domestic purposes or seed purposes at affordable of cost.
