Global Tree Bank (GTB) is a registered trust in India, created in the year 2017 to increase the population of the trees on the earth to safe guard the eco-balance through community participation. This is a vision of Mr.S.Johnson alias Damodaran and founder of the trust.

Trees provide mankind food, fiber, timber, medicine and oil. The food and shelter for cattle, birds and countless species. And it is giving food to earth in the form of manure to growing crops. The trees attract the rainy clouds for raining to produce food and drinking water. The trees protect the earth from sun heat, rain and wind erosion.

The trees serve the mankind in several ways for his life, but man is forgetting the giver (tree) him and being against to the giver (Tree).So we are facing the natural calamities mainly the “Global warming and Climate Change”, the life of earth will become transient, if we remain against to trees and eco-system. Hence we decided to work on the two principles; protect the environment and sustainable future on the earth. Our vision is protecting the earth and eco-Balance and mission is to propagate the trees on the earth with community action at grass root level.

The GTB provided the services like propagation of trees by seed/sapling/plants distribution and encouraging the youth and women and farmers for economic plants development by conducting the trainings.
